How secure is your TMS?

Is your TMS as stable and secure as it can be? If you’re not using a Software as a Service (SaaS)-based TMS, then it’s not. A transport operator’s traditional TMS requires it be installed on users’ machines in-house and those at far more risk for data loss than any storage in the Cloud, which is where all the data in a SaaS-based TMS resides. Such a TMS further utilises Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), which means all data is held within a pre-specified geographic region (in our case, the UK), and is kept in such a form that any possible data breach will be of no use to anyone. In addition, IaaS ensures that all users share the benefit of leading edge data protection.

Other benefits of having your TMS in the Cloud are that it is über reliable, always-on, never breaks down and is always up to date - and there is only ever one iteration of it, thus avoiding any possibility of data clashes within your organisation. Also, all your data is held according to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
