Want a TMS + Routing & Scheduling Combo?

Well, that sure sounds like a no-brainer. But if an IT supplier offers you one, will they allow you to test the system they’re touting?

While we know combining the two systems can be done (we’ve done it), we also know that in order to avoid ‘garbage in, garbage out’ results, attention to, and handling of, detail is absolutely key (we’ve also been there, and also done that).

Image to illustrate a freight transport management IT system integrating with a route and scheduling IT system in order to facilitate the transport of freight - a TMS such as CarrierNet.

In short, while the combination of TMS + R&S is now being seen as somewhat of a flavour of the month, the truth is we’ve been producing exactly that integration of systems for some years now and have tested the results rigorously in real life, for real clients, with real successBut we can attest that the TMS + R&S combo is a difficult union to pull off successfully.

Obviously, only the use of modern, SaaS-based TMS makes integration of IT systems like this possible in the first place, but there is more to an effective combined system than that. However, if successful, the benefits of such an approach are manifold and quite remarkable. As we said above, we should know as we’ve done it time and again, and are happy to have any freight operator test it to the nth degree. Don’t believe us? Contact Bashir Khan here he'll happily lay it on the line for you.
